Payscore cannot upload documents on behalf of an applicant.
For security, privacy, and compliance reasons, all document uploads (such as pay stubs, bank statements, or offer letters) must be submitted directly by the applicant through the secure verification workflow.
Why we cannot upload documents for applicants
Our system is designed so that:
Documents are securely linked to the applicant’s verification session
The applicant provides consent when uploading files
Files are transmitted through an encrypted workflow tied to their request
Because of this, support agents and customers are not able to manually attach documents to a verification request.
What to do if an applicant needs to upload documents
If document verification is enabled for the request and the applicant is eligible to upload documents, they will see a document upload step within their verification flow.
You should instruct the applicant to:
Log back into their verification link
Follow the on-screen steps
Upload documents directly when prompted
If the upload option is not visible
Applicants will only be prompted to upload documents in specific scenarios, such as:
They were unable to connect a bank or payroll provider
Document verification is enabled for your organization
Support has guided them to the document upload step (if applicable)
If an applicant does not see an upload option, they should contact Payscore support through live chat or by emailing [email protected] so our team can guide them through the correct next steps.
Important reminder for customers
Please do not ask applicants to email documents to Payscore or to your team for manual upload.
Emailed documents cannot be attached to a verification request and will not be processed through the secure workflow.
Having applicants upload documents directly ensures:
Proper data matching to the correct applicant
Secure handling of sensitive information
Accurate inclusion in the final verification report
