If the phone number shown for receiving your security code is incorrect, it usually means the phone number on file with your bank is outdated or incorrect.

Payscore displays the phone number provided by your bank and cannot change it directly.

What to do if the phone number is wrong

If you don’t recognize the phone number or can’t receive the security code:

  1. Contact your bank directly

Ask them to update or verify the phone number on your account. This is the number your bank uses to send security codes.

  2. Wait for the bank to confirm the update

Once your bank updates the phone number, it may take a short time for the change to fully apply.

  3. Restart the verification process

Return to your verification link and try again. The updated phone number should now appear.

Why this happens

For security reasons, banks control how security codes are delivered and which phone number they use. Payscore does not store or manage this phone number and cannot override your bank’s settings.

If you’re still having trouble

If the phone number looks correct but you still aren’t receiving a code:

  • Double-check with your bank that SMS or phone verification is enabled

  • Make sure your phone can receive short codes

  • Try again after a brief wait

If the issue continues after confirming everything with your bank, contact support for help.
