Payscore’s RealPage integration allows income and identity verification to run automatically when an application is submitted—without manual action from leasing teams.
This article explains how the integration works, what gets sent automatically, and where reports appear in RealPage.
What the RealPage integration does
When an applicant is processed through your RealPage workflow:
Payscore automatically sends verification invitations
Applicants receive email and text notifications
Reminders are sent automatically (based on configuration)
Verification activity is logged directly on the applicant record
Leasing teams do not need to manually send invites or manage the verification process outside of RealPage.
How invitations are triggered
Once an application is submitted and the integration conditions are met:
An invite is automatically sent by email and text
Verification reminders may be sent automatically
Activity logs are created within the applicant record
⏱️ The integration syncs with RealPage every 5 minutes, so there may be a short delay between workflow events and invite delivery.
Required information for an invite to send
For verification invitations to be triggered successfully, the applicant record must typically include:
A valid email address
A monthly rent
If required information is missing:
The invite may not be sent
Once the missing data is added in RealPage, the invite can be triggered automatically based on your workflow setup
Income and identity verification
Income verification
Income verification invitations are sent automatically based on your integration configuration.
Once the applicant completes the process, a verification report is generated and made accessible through the RealPage activity log.
Identity verification (if enabled)
If identity verification is enabled for your account:
Identity verification invites are sent alongside income verification
Applicants complete both within the same automated workflow
Completion activity is logged on the applicant record
No manual action is required from the leasing team.
Where reports appear in RealPage
When an invite is sent or a report is completed, Payscore adds an entry to the applicant’s Activity tab in RealPage.
The activity log provides an audit trail of:
Invite sent
Applicant progress
Report completion
Important: Report access in RealPage
Unlike some other integrations, the Payscore report is not uploaded directly as a file attachment in RealPage due to limitations from RealPage.
Instead:
A secure report link is attached to the Activity log
Authorized users can access the full report through that link
This design maintains secure access while working within RealPage’s activity logging structure.
Using the browser extension with RealPage (recommended)
For the best experience, the Payscore browser extension should be used in conjunction with the RealPage integration.
When the browser extension is installed:
Reports can be more easily viewed and accessed directly within RealPage
Report visibility is enhanced under the People tab
Leasing teams can quickly open verification reports without leaving their workflow
This setup combines:
The RealPage integration (for automated invites and activity logging)
The Payscore browser extension (for easier report access and viewing)
Together, they provide a more seamless experience when reviewing applicant verification results inside RealPage.
