How to check if your prepaid card is supported

The best way to find out if your prepaid card is supported is to search for the institution directly in the bank connection screen during verification.

To do this:

  1. Open your Payscore verification link

  2. Select bank verification

  3. Search for the name of your prepaid card or provider

If your prepaid provider appears in the search results, it is supported and you can proceed with the connection.


When prepaid cards will work

Prepaid cards may work for verification if:

  • The card has an online login (similar to a bank account)

  • It shows your deposit and transaction history

  • Your income is regularly deposited onto the card

If income (such as payroll, benefits, or gig income) is deposited onto the prepaid account, it may be included in your income verification report.


When prepaid cards may not work

Some prepaid cards have limitations that can prevent a successful connection, including:

  • No online account login

  • Limited transaction history

  • Security restrictions from the provider

  • The provider not appearing in the supported institution search

If the provider does not appear when you search, it is likely not supported for direct connection.


What to do if your prepaid card cannot be connected

If you are unable to connect your prepaid account:

  • Double-check the provider name in the search field

  • Make sure you are using the correct online login credentials

  • Try connecting another account if available
