Payscore can verify gig income in two different ways, depending on how the applicant completes income verification.
This article explains:
When a specific list of gig platforms applies
When any gig income can be verified
Payroll-based gig income (limited to supported platforms)
When payroll-based income verification is enabled, Payscore can verify gig income from a specific set of supported gig platforms.
This is because payroll verification relies on payroll provider coverage.
Currently supported gig platforms for payroll verification
When payroll verification is enabled, Payscore currently supports income from the following gig platforms:
DoorDash
Uber
Uber Eats
Lyft
Amazon Flex
Grubhub
Instacart
OnlyFans
Roadie
Shipt
Poshmark
Wonolo
Etsy
Handy
TaskRabbit
This list applies only to payroll-based verification and may change as coverage expands.
Bank-based gig income (no platform restrictions)
When an applicant completes bank-based income verification, Payscore can verify any gig income that is deposited into a personal bank account.
There is no predefined list of supported gig platforms for bank verification.
If gig income appears as deposits in the applicant’s bank account, it may be:
Detected
Classified
Included in the income verification report
This applies regardless of the gig platform used.
How gig income is evaluated
Gig income is evaluated differently depending on how it is verified:
When verified through payroll
Gig income is treated as recurring income, since it is tied to an active payroll connection and verified employment records.
When verified through bank data
Gig income is evaluated using the same recurring vs. non-recurring income detection logic applied to all bank deposits.
Deposits are classified based on consistency, timing, and source, rather than platform name.
Regardless of verification method:
Income is evaluated using the same criteria and report structure as other income sources
The amount of income included depends on available history and data quality
Important notes
Payroll-based gig income is limited to supported platforms
Bank-based verification can include gig income from any platform
Not all gig income will qualify as recurring income
If payroll verification is not available, bank verification may still surface gig income
