Installing the Rent Manager Integration

Step-by-step instructions for enabling Payscore in Rent Manager and installing income and identity verification tabs

Payscore integrates directly with Rent Manager through the Rent Manager Marketplace. Once enabled, your on-site teams can send income and identity verification requests and view reports directly within Rent Manager.

This article walks through:

  1. Enabling the Payscore integration

  2. Installing custom tabs for Automated Income Verification and Automated Identity Verification

  3. Assigning those tabs to users

Who should complete this?

A Rent Manager administrator with admin-level permissions.


Step 1: Enable the Payscore integration in Rent Manager

Before Payscore can activate the integration, a Rent Manager admin must request activation.

  1. Log in to Rent Manager

  2. Go to the Admin tab

  3. Click Available Integrations (top right)

  4. Search for Payscore

  5. Click Request Activation


Select locations

  1. Choose all locations where you want Payscore enabled

  2. Click Request Activation

Once this is complete:

  • Rent Manager sends the activation request to Payscore

  • Contact your Payscore representative to confirm the request has been submitted

Payscore will activate the integration on our side.


Step 2: Install custom tabs (Income & Identity Verification)

After Payscore confirms activation, you must install the custom tabs so users can send verification requests from Rent Manager.

You will install two custom tabs:

  • Automated Income Verification

  • Automated Identity Verification (optional)

The steps below are the same for both.


Install the custom tab

  1. Go to Admin → Setup → Custom Tabs → Custom Tab Register

  2. Click the arrow next to Import

  3. Select Online Template Library

  4. Open the appropriate folder:

    1. Prospect Tabs (for Prospects), or

    2. Tenant Tabs (for Tenants)

  5. Select:

    1. Automated Income Verification, then download

    2. Repeat and select Automated Identity Verification

  6. Accept the disclaimer

  7. If prompted to map user-defined fields, click Next without making changes


Step 3: Assign custom tabs to users

Once the tabs are installed, they must be assigned to users. This must be done manually due to Rent Manager limitations.

Assign tabs for Prospects

  1. Go to Admin → Setup → Custom Tabs → Manage Custom Tabs

  2. Set Form Type to Prospect

  3. Select a user on the left

  4. Move the following forms to Selected Forms:

    • Automated Income Verification

    • Automated Identity Verification

  5. Click Save

Repeat for each user who needs access.


Assign tabs for Tenants (optional)

If you want verification available in the Tenants module, repeat the same steps:

  1. Set Form Type to Tenant

  2. Assign both to the users:

    • Automated Income Verification

    • Automated Identity Verification

  3. Click Save


After setup is complete

Once all steps are finished:

  • Users will see both verification tabs in Rent Manager

  • Income and identity verification invites can be sent directly from:

    • Prospects, and/or

    • Tenants

  • Verification reports will appear automatically in Rent Manager

No additional configuration is required for daily use.


Common setup questions

I only see Income Verification, not Identity Verification

→ Confirm the Automated Identity Verification tab was installed and assigned to the user.

Users can’t see either tab

→ Verify the tabs were assigned manually for each user and correct form type.
